Magellan 5310 - Nice large screen

The 5 inch screen is a very big improvement over the 4″ screen. I went from an installed GPS unit in my car to this unit. It is easy to see and very easy to program. Maps are up to date and the AAA tour book is very useful.

We purchased this GPS system because it appeared to be a very good one. We found this to be excellent. We love it! We love the larger 5″ screen and the clear voice directions. My husband and I would recommend this to any one wanting a GPS system.

Magellan Maestro 5310 - Liked It So Far

I got my Magellan Maestro 5310 today and tested it thoroughly. This is my first GPS Navigator and I liked it a lot. It works with no problems.

Pros: It talks a lot: the actions you take, the street names, warning for approaching turns, etc. and bells/chimes at the turning points… Route recalculation takes about 3 seconds. Big screen is awesome. Satellite connection is perfect in Texas. The accuracy is about 4-5 meters. And it is full of POI.

Magellan Maestro 5310 - Not Bad

I purchased this item and have been using it regularly, it tends to try to send me on some strange routes some times with many turns but when I had absolutely no idea where I was going it was usually fairly good.

Had a couple of addresses that were not located correctly and it sometimes does not know specific towns if they are too small.

Magellan Maestro 5310 - Clarification On Unit Specifications

Just to clarify: I own this unit and while it’s exactly what I was looking for (needing neither Bluetooth nor Voice Command) I can clarify the inaccurate information stated above - the 5310 has neither of these features. The Magellan Maestro 4050 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator has both features available for those who are interested. It is possible that we’ll see Voice Command came out as an upgrade for the 5310 as it did for the 4050, but it’s not there now.
